This makes it a perfect place for architects to design some of the coolest apartment and commercial buildings in the world. Among all the building which climbs up the hills behind port Hercule, there are some very cool modern buildings. In the area by Place du Casino, the new One Monte Carlo congress and shopping center stands out after the Monte Carlo pavillions were removed some years ago. We have made a video which presents some of the new modern additions to the cityscape the last ten years. Some of the buildings are: The Simona (2012) by Jean-Pierre Lott Architecte - two towers with 24 apartments in each.
